Transportation

Whether your child will be using private bus service or will be transported to school by car, every student who resides in New Jersey in Grades K-8 is entitled to a reimbursement for attending a private school and not using state-funded buses. The only exceptions are for those students living more than 2 but less than 20 miles from the school and for those kindergarten students who do not make the cut-off birth date in their home districts. The refund is mailed directly to you twice during the school year.

The New Jersey Department of Education submission date for the B6T (Application for Private School Transportation Reimbursement) must be filed with your township. The school office will process this information for you as long as you meet the filing deadlines. Failure to file in a timely manner may result in transportation aid days being deducted from your total.

If you move during the school year, you must fill out a new B6T form and file it with your new township.
